Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators will play final of the first season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai International Stadium on today. The PSL Chairman Najam Sethi has already confirmed that it’s full house for the final on Tuesday in a tweet last night.
Islamabad United under Misbah-ul-Haq captaincy and Quetta Gladiators under Sarfraz Ahmed’s guidance will step onto the pitch for the final. The all-exciting final will be preceded by a spectacular fireworks display at the stadium starting at 6.30 pm but the match will start at 9 pm PST. Talking about Misbah XI’s performance during PSL, the United clinched four victories while faced rout in other four matches.

Flamboyant all-rounder and Peshawar Zalmi Captain Shahid Khan Afridi is also expected to watch the match. Najam Sethi has said that Afridi will be coming to watch the final and cheer it to the end. Peshawar Zalmi was defeated by Islamabad United on Sunday thanks to Sharjeel Khan’s maiden ton of the tournament. Khan is hopeful that he will continue his performance to help his team clinch the title.
The start of PSL by Islamabad United was alarming as they lost two important matches against Gladiators and Zalmi but the team beat most expensive Karachi Kings in first PSL playoff, kicking out them out of the tournament. Islamabad players snatched another victory against Peshawar Zalmi and headed towards final of PSL where they will be looking for their fifth consecutive win to get the winning trophy.
In a nail-biting finish in front of a packed Dubai crowd, Quetta Gladiators created history and became the first team to qualify for the final by winning six matches.
On the other hand, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) PSL has taken the UAE by storm as tickets for the final between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United have been sold out completely.
