Ravi Bopara bagged six wickets and made 71 runs to guide Karachi Kings to their second win in Pakistan Super League match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE on Friday. Karachi Kings batted brilliantly in the first half of the game after being put into bat by Dwayne Bravo, courtsey some extraordinarily poor fielding by Lahore, who dropped around 10 chances during the 20 overs.
The England all-rounder Ravi Bopara also got the big wicket of Chris Gayle when Lahore Qalandars were on course to chase down Kings’ target of 179.
Cameron Delport and Chris Gayle provided an opening stand of 98, but once the openers were removed, rest of the batting collapsed, handing a 27-run victory to Kings.
Lahore Qalandars could make 151/8 in 20 overs.
Earlier, sent in to bat first, Karachi Kings made 178 courtesy Ravi Bopara’s 43-ball 71.
Bopara was declared the Man of the Match for his spectacular performance.
