Opener Ahmed Shehzad struck a sparkling fifty as Quetta Gladiators beat Karachi Kings by eight wickets in the fourth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Dubai Cricket Stadium in UAE on Saturday.
Shehzad hit four 6s and five 4s in his 71 off 46 balls and was well supported by Luke Wright who was three runs short of another fifty.
Kevin Pietersen finished the proceeding with two sixes in the 16th and 17th over to shoot down Kings’ tatrget of 148/2 in 17.2 overs and eight wickets still in hand.
Earlier, Shoaib Malik (37) and Ravi Bopara (40) helped Karachi Kings set Quetta Gladiators a target of 148. Sent in to bat first by Gladiators, Kings could manage only 147/7 in 20 overs.
For Quetta, Anwar Ali and Mohammad Nabi took two wickets each while all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz also bagged one wicket.
