An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday handed over three suspects to police custody on physical remand till June 28 for their alleged involvement in Safoora bus carnage case.

Police produced the accused Tahir Hussain, Saad Aziz and Asad-ur-Rehman before the ATC judge amid high security. The investigation officer requested the court to grant physical remand of all the accused as they are required for more investigation. The accused were allegedly involved in attacking a bus carrying passengers of Ismaili community.

According to the prosecution, Saad and Tahir were arrested from Gulshan-e-Maymar by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) after an encounter on 20 May 2015.

At least 45 people belonging to Ismaili community were killed and others injured when unknown assailants targeted them near Safoora Goth on 13th May 2015.

Meanwhile, the two suspects, Saad and Asad were also remanded to Ferozabad police on physical remand for seven days in two new cases. Both the accused were handed over to Ferozabad police in attack case of Debro Lobo and a cop murder case.

The Vice Principal of Jinnah Medical & Dental college, Lobo, was was attacked near Shaheed-e-Milat road on 16 April 2015 within the jurisdiction of Ferozabad police station.
