According to Chairman PTI Imran Khan the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has changed its statement four times regarding the printing of extra ballot papers during last year. While addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said that more than 20000 ‘Form-15’ are missing from the polling bags. He also said that more than 6800 polling bags were not properly sealed and it is evident that they were tempered by someone.
He also pointed out the face that more than 10 million extra ballot papers were printed in the 2013 general elections.
“Extra ballot papers were sent to 149 constituencies and out of them only six belong to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),” he said, adding that extra ballot papers were sent to six constituencies to ensure PML-N’s victory. Despite sending the extra ballots, PTI had won the elections on these constituencies, he said.
“If Form 15 is missing, how can we know that how may ballot papers were unused,” he questioned.
He said that the second method of verification was the thumb verification and the third method was of the installation of Result management system, which was stopped at 11.20 pm after the speech of Nawaz Sharif on May 11.
“We will accept whatever Judicial Commission decides,” he pledged. He is also sure that fresh election will be held in the year 2015.
Imran Khan said that his demand to investigate the previous elections was to ensure that the next general elections should be free of rigging. While answering a question, he said that he will not go to National Assembly till the Judicial Commission gives its verdict.
