Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has announced to attend the anniversary of Model Town massacre and show solidarity with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahir ul Qadri and PAT workers.
The incident took place last year when more than 15 people lost their lives and hundreds were injured during Punjab Police raid on Minhajul Quran headquarters in Model Town, Lahore.
“We will join Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahir ul Qadri in the anniversary,” Khan told a press conference earlier today in Rawalpindi.
PTI chief also said the justice was not provided to the people who died in the incident and no one was brought to justice. He also said that the Punjab police is acting as the mercenaries of the PML-N government under Sharif brothers.
“Sharif brothers are responsible for the murder of two brothers in Rawalpindi. The killing happened as police were never penalized in any case,” he said.
He also criticized Pakistan People’s Party, Awami National Party and Jamiat-e-Ulema-Islam for not raising voice against the incident and labeled them as hypocrites.
