Pakistan-chieflelectioncommissionerChief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan on Tuesday said that it is not easy task to hold election in KPK again. Referring to Imran Khan’s statement about holding re-election if all parties agree, he made clear that the decision of re-polling or re-election in any constituency is solely in the hands of Election Commission.

The statement of CEC came out on Tuesday right after the statement of Imran Khan to hold the elections again the province. Imran Khan has been criticized by opposition parties including ANP, JUI-F and PPP for the rigging and mismanagement in the local body elections in KPK held on 30th May.

The CEC was also attending to a case of rigging allegations today.

Liaquat khattak, who is the brother of CM KPK pervaiz Khatak, was accused to influencing the election, appeared in the front of election commission today. In the hearing, the chief election commissioner criticized the KPK police and said that their eyes were closed on the Election Day and mismanagement was seen in different parts of the province.

Apart from that, different acts of violence were also reported in the province on polling day. The CEC also added that instead of helping the pooling agents, the police were helping the people who were breaking the law.

He also said that, he is proud of KPK police but they did nothing to stop the hands of corrupt people on the Election Day. According to CEC, sindh police showed more decorum in the by-elections of NA-246
