The PPP leader filed her nominations for the seat that was vacant after the resignation from Abdul Latif Ansari. Abdul Latif Ansari won the recent senate elections and resigned the seat soon after.
Katch Abadies also filed the papers for the seat and no other parties presented for the seat. Sherry Rehman was elected unopposed and will now serve in office for a term of six years.
On the occasion, she said that she will raise her voice for the people of Sindh and will make adequate steps to make sure that people of this province gets their fair share in the economy.
