Director Bahria University Commodore Mohsin Hayat and technical expert of United Nations’s industrial development M Hameed Bahir Saeed in a joint statement on Thursday congratulated Muhammed Bilal on inventing a solar motorcycle for the first time in the history of Pakistan.
On inventing a solar motorcycle, its successful experiment and practical exhibition, they congratulated M Bilal, 22, electrical engineering student of the university. They said encouragement of such intelligent students at the government level would bear fruits.
It was a result of Bilal’s long efforts and struggle that he could be able to produce a solar-run motorcycle. He presented practical exhibition of his eco-friendly project in auditorium of the university in a public event.
Head of Department Electrical Prof Dr Haroon, several professors of technical universities, technical representatives of some international organizations, police officers, SSP Arif Mehr, SP (retd) Altaf Qadri, DSP Waseem and other were also present, says a release.
Bilal said the government should help him in producing solar-run motorcycle to avoid energy crisis in the country and provide cheap motorcycle to the citizens.
“This motorbike can run at the speed of 60 km/ hour and after getting completely charged through sunrays it can complete travel up to 140 km. It will also save the environment from pollution,” he said.
