The government is ambitious to eliminate extremism and terrorism from the country at all costs, the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has re-affirmed during APC held here in Quetta.
In the light of the recent incident of Mastung Massacre, a high-level meeting on law and order was conducted in Quetta, Balochistan on Tuesday presiding by PM Nawaz Sharif. Motivating the officials in the meeting, he said, Pakistan is making progress and becoming economically strong that is why the enemies of the country are not happy with it and wants to weaken the country through such incidents.
Referring to the operation Zarb-e-Azb, he said, it was going successfully in North Waziristan and would continue till the area will be cleared from terrorists. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Balochistan briefed on the ongoing situation of law and order in the province in general and Mastung incident in particular.
For the departed souls of Mastung victims, fateha Dua was offered in the meeting. Governor Balochistan Mohammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, State Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Mir Jam Kamal, Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch, Senior Provincial Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Provincial Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Commander Southern Command Lt. Gen. Nasir Khan Janjua, IG Frontier Corps, Balochistan and police chief attended the meeting.
