Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shaharyar Khan said that politics has ruined the cricket for Pakistani and Indian cricket fans who love to see their teams play each other.

He offered these views while he was being interviewed on a TV show. Cricket and politics should be kept separate and cricket is a game to be played with spirit, he said.

He was asked about the potential Pakistan and India cricket series, he replied that PCB is awaiting the official approval from the Indian government as per the MoU which has been signed with them. He said that the series is expected to be played in UEA this December.

He also added that this series is going to be expensive stint for the Board but playing India is of far more value than that.

He added that there are two upcoming tours; the next one will be a visit to Sri Lanka which will be followed by a tour to Zimbabwe.

Shahryar Khan also added that there is just one conflict point left for resolution and other issues have been resolved regarding the central contracts.

He also talked about the progress made by the committees reviewing the failures of cricket team in World Cup and Bangladesh.
