At the 68th Cannes International Film Festival, Bollywood actress and Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will showcase first glimpse of her comeback film “Jazbaa”. On May 16, she will attend a close door United Nations panel discussion, followed by a media event on May 19. Aishwarya will be one of the member of the panel there. Besides, Aishwarya other members of the panel includes actresses Salma Hayek, Adele Exarchopoulos and upcoming film Carol’s producers Christine Vachone and Elizabeth Kushel. They all will give a speech on gender equality and contribution of women in media.

The trailer of her upcoming film “Jazbaa” will be showcased at the event in the existence of the film’s writer, co-producer-director Sanjay Gupta and Essel Vision’s business head Akash Chawla.

As we know in most movies,the man is characterized as the main hero but for this movie each of the three actor; Aishwarya, Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan, have equally important roles in taking the story forward.

Akash Chawla stated “And since the trio have a prominent international presence, an event at Cannes, which is the most prestigious film festival, was a welcome opportunity to get the international media together under one roof.”

“Jazbaa” which is produced by Essel Vision, White Feather Films and Vikings Entertainment, will be releasing worldwide on October 9.
