According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 80% Pakistanis said that Afghan refugees should go back to their own country; 20% said that they should stay in Pakistan.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, ?Do you think Afghan refugees should stay in Pakistan or should they go back to their own country?? In response to this question, 80% respondents said that Afghan refugees should go back to Afghanistan, while 20% respondents said that Afghan refugees should stay in Pakistan.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1381 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during March 02- March 09, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ? 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
