Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) hosts Kings XI Punjab (KXP) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad, in the Indian Premier League tonight in what is going to be a crucial match for the team’s chances of entering the playoffs round. They must win this match to stay in the hunt for a spot in the next round. KXP, on the other hand, can take the match easy, as they are already out of the playoffs reckoning. They can play with the freedom of the losers. All they can hope for would be to cause malice in other team’s hopes.
Preview – SRH
Sunrisers have won four of the last five matches. The team is slowly but surely shedding the over-reliance on David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan. Moises Henriques has emerged as a middle-order mainstay. Eoin Morgan too has shown glimpses of his destructive firepower.
The team has to sacrifice the pace and guile of Dale Steyn and Trent Boult for strengthening the middle order. Even in their absence, the team has the luxury of five Indian international bowlers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Praveen Kumar do not have express pace; but they are fairly accurate and can swing the ball both ways. Ishant Sharma and Karn Sharma can be menacing when they find their rhythm.

The Punjab team has lost the IPL war. But they will look forward to win some minor battles. The team was supposed to be a heavy-weight team of super stars; but they ended up looking like a disjointed bunch of fading stars. None of their big money players have pulled their weight. Perhaps, Sandeep Sharma is the only one who has performed consistently well.
It is advantage Hyderabad Sunrisers. The Punjab side appears to have lost the will to win.
