According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 25% urbanite Pakistanis rated the water and sanitation facilities in their city at 2, on a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 represents very dissatisfied and 5 represents very satisfied.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women living in urban areas, from across the four provinces was asked, “On a scale of 1 to 5, how satisfied are you with the water and sanitation facilities in your city 1 represents Very Dissatisfied and 5 represents Very Satisfied.”

In response to this question, 6% respondents rated their satisfaction with water and sanitation facilities in their city at 5 (very satisfied), 19% respondents rated their satisfaction with water and sanitation facilities in their city at 4, 24% respondents rated their satisfaction with water and sanitation facilities at 3, while 25% rated it at 2, and 24% respondents rated their satisfaction with water and sanitation facilities in their city at 1 (very dissatisfied). 2% respondents did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 459 men and women in urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during March 02- March 09, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately – 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
