Islam is the religion of peace which teaches us unity, agreeableness, and dignity of man is based on piety and not on ethnicity.
These views were expressed by Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Khalid Al Ghamidi, who delivered a pre-Friday prayer sermon at Faisal Mosque. Thousands of people, mostly from the twin cities offered Friday congregational prayer led by Imam-e-Kaaba at Faisal Mosque in the federal capital.
Sheikh Khalid Al Ghamidi said by sinking the internal differences, Muslims should remain united and must help each other when in need, adding that salvation only lies in the practice of the Sunnah and the Holy Quran.
?Muslims are facing different political and religious differences when we all have a common holy book, the Quran. The reason behind the grim state of the Muslims is deviation from the teachings of Islam. Muslims have been divided into sects and different groups. Everyone?s religion, God, Prophet, and the Holy book are the same,? he said.
?Non-Muslim powers are benefiting out of the differences of opinions among Muslims. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught us to hold fast the teachings of Islam. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) had stressed the fact that Islam has ended racial differences? he added. Sheikh Khalid al Ghamidi urged the people to follow the path of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the teachings of Holy Quran.
After delivering the sermon, he led the Friday prayer at the mosque.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf, State Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Ameenul Hassanat and religious scholars were amongst the thousands of people who offered Friday prayer behind the Imam-e-Kaaba.
