Default of electricity bill is on the rise in district Larkana and not only private persons but the government institutions have also to pay heavy outstanding electricity bills.

SEPCO sources said even the Bhutto Mausoleum has to clear huge electricity bills. They said Bhutto mausoleum monthly electricity bill has gone high from Rs8.2 million in March 2015 to over Rs10 million in April 2015. They said this connection was given on 30th November 1994 and stand in the name of Project Director, Z. A. Bhutto mausoleum (the bill wrongly mentions word museum), Garhi Khuda Bux. The current bill for the month of April 2015 is Rs930,142 and its due date was May 14, 2015 which has also expired without any payment.

However, Superintending Engineer (SE), SEPCO, Larkana Circle, Zaheer Shaikh, when contacted told PPI that bill itself is a notice and the provincial government is well aware of the outstanding amount against the Bhutto mausoleum. He said he has requested the concerned higher authorities to clear the bill within current financial year.
